St. Patrick’s Day 10 Frasi Per Celebrare Gli Irlandesi
Come avrai ben capito, anche se l’inglese è sempre l’inglese ovunque tu vada, ci sono alcune piccole cose che cambiano tra Paesi, stati, e anche città. Per celebrare la famosa festa di St. Patrick’s, oggi vogliamo presentarti una lista delle frasi e slang tipici dell’Irlanda. il loro modo molto informale per chiedere “Come va? Come stai?” - “On the lash” or “on the tearon the lash”
Espressione per dire che una persona è andata a bere/ ubriacarsi

Tradotto “pazzo come un sacchetto di ragni”, si usa per descrivere una persona che consideri un po’ matto, fuori di testa, o sballato.

Un modo scherzoso per dire “idiota, cretino, stupido, scemo”

Un sinonimo per “to make fun of” che sarebbe “prendere in giro”

Due aggettivi che sarebbero un slang per “rotto, guasto”

Un modo per dire “smettila di lamentarti”. Perfetto per l’amico che non fa altro che parlare del suo lavoro e quanto è duro. - “After doing/ after having”
Anche se non è grammatica perfetta, gli irlandesi usano queste forme per dire che hanno finito di fare qualcosa.
I’m after having my dinner. In inglese ‘no-slang’, si può esprimere questo concetto dicendo “I’ve had my dinner.” - “Lad(s)”
La parola chiave per salutare o parlare di un gruppo di persone, sia maschile che femminile. Si usa come la parola “guys”.
The lads are all down at the pitch, I’m going to meet them for a quick game. - “Sláinte!”
La frase più appropriata per questa festa, “Sláinte!” sarebbe uguale a “Salute”, usata per fare i brindisi. “Sláinte!”, nella lingua irlandese, simile all’italiano, traduce come “salute”, e quindi “bevo alla tua salute!”
